I picked up an old copy of this book without a jacket and couldn't tell if it was fiction or autobiography, but I was riveted from the start. It is the true story of late Hollywood gossip columnist Sheilah Graham's upbring from placement in an English orphanage by her impoverished mother to her intimate relationship with F. Scott Fitzgerald. It also chronicles her various relationships and involvements on her way to becoming one of the big three feared gossip columnists of the great Hollywood era. A completely fascinating life story! How did these people cram so many experiences and liaisons in such time. It is also an interesting look at Fitzgerald and the tortured writer's soul.
