About the Author
Dr. Solomon is a bio-psychologist as well as a biologist and has served as the Clinical Director of the Center for Mental Health Education, Assessment and Therapy since 1992. Dr. Solomon currently is an adjunct professor and member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of South Florida. She has taught biology and nursing students for more than 20 years.Dr. Berg is an award-winning teacher and author who taught for 17 years at the University of Maryland in College Park. It was at this institution that she received numerous teaching and service awards. Dr. Berg is also the recipient of many national and regional awards including the National Science Teachers Association Award for Innovations in College Science Teaching, the Nation's Capital Area Disabled Student Services Award, and the Washington Academy of Sciences Award in University Science Teaching.Dr. Martin currently teaches at Rutgers University, where she has been for more than 20 years. Her particular area of study surrounds the study of chromosomes related to plant species and how they can be used to understand evolutionary relationships.
