Review
"A writer with skill and courage....Palmer does the big scenes as perfectly as the small ones. She makes you believe that she knows exactly what it's like to live through a flash fire in a canyon, and how it smells and feels to be packed inside a small van in a reckless journey toward the remote possibility of a job in America." Chicago Tribune
