Synopsis
This innovative, interactive book encourages children to learn by doing. By sorting the cards and building different categories, children learn about colors, shapes, the alphabet and numbers. First a child selects a key card, which names the category they are going to sort, and places it in the central pocket on the page. For example, they might sort orange things, or circles, or shapes. Or they might select groups of three things, or objects beginning with A, B or C. Once they have placed the central key card, children then fill the other eight pockets with objects that are part of that category. There are four sheets of vinyl pockets in the book, so children can create eight categories as they work through the book. Once they have finished, they can go back to the beginning and build the book again, in a different way. Altogether there are 144 card images, and more than 40 different categories to build.
