About the Author
Marcella Kelly teaches the Introduction to Business course every semester at Santa Monica College. With expertise in marketing and management, Kelly has extensive industry experience as well as strong teaching experience in the classroom. She earned her master's degree from UCLA.Jim McGowen has served as chairperson of the Business Transfer Department at Southwestern Illinois College for the last 12 years. He earned his MS in Economics from Auburn University and has completed additional graduate work in economics, finance, accounting, and operations management. Professor McGowen has taught the Introduction to Business course at Southwestern Illinois for over 20 years. The Illinois Community College Trustees Association awarded him an Excellence in Teaching Award in 2007, the year he was also named Faculty Member of the Year at Southwestern Illinois College.
