Synopses & Reviews
One of Canada's most beloved artists, Tom Thomson traveled to Algonquin Park in 1912 and it soon became a major inspiration. His passion for the park's rugged, quiet landscape with its changing moods and bright colors is reflected in his work. Eventually, Thomson spent most of his time painting in Algonquin Park where tragically he drowned in 1917, three years before the Group of Seven held their first exhibition. In Tom Thomson 2003, we present a selection of paintings from the rich legacy of a remarkable artist.
