Synopsis
Le d veloppement durable reste un id al atteindre et la conservation de la biodiversit demeure une priorit pour la communaut internationale. Les d terminants et modalit s des volutions environnementales et soci tales actuelles et leurs cons quences sur l' tat et la dynamique de la biodiversit restent quantifier de mani re bien plus pr cise. En combinant des donn es cologiques et celles sur la perception et les pratiques des habitants, cet ouvrage analyse l' tat de la biodiversit v g tale et les facteurs susceptibles d'agir sur sa dynamique dans un terroir fortement anthropis par l'arboriculture l'ouest du Burkina Faso. Les investigations ont montr que les habitants sont bien conscients des normes services que procurent le milieu et les esp ces v g tales, mais aussi de l'ampleur de la d gradation du couvert v g tal et de la baisse de la disponibilit des esp ces v g tales spontan es, avec des risques sur leur bien- tre et celui des g n rations futures. Les paroles des habitants ont t traduites en termes de services cosyst miques, ce qui a men discuter de l'ad quation des classifications actuellement disponibles au contexte des soci t s rurales similaires.
