Review
"I have used the
Clinician's Electronic Thesaurus for several years. As my practice has changed with the advent of managed care and the increased demands for reports, this software has helped me keep current on appropriate diagnostic terminology. It provides dynamic, clinically correct descriptions and phraseology that I can easily import into a report without it sounding 'canned,' as I have experienced with other programs. I can produce fresh, pertinent, well-written professional reports in less than half the time. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to colleagues in any related discipline, whether they are producing court reports, managed care reports, custody reports or the myriad others that are demanded of busy professionals." --Nora Fleming Young, PhD, Independent Counseling Psychologist
"The Clinician's Electronic Thesaurus is the greatest communication assistant I have ever used. The format of this tool is so user-friendly that it is actually inviting. I can always have the most accurate word before me at the press of a button. It could not be easier and my reports are more professional. This software has transformed my writing skills." --C. Dale Ackley, PhD, DMin, Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress
"Because I am always 'on the go,' I have the Clinician's Electronic Thesaurus installed on my laptop. It is a quick and user-friendly professional resource and a convenient reference tool that helps me avoid any omissions when preparing lengthy reports." --P. Surprenant, MSW-LICSW
Synopsis
Used with the Clinician's Thesaurus book or on its own, this timesaving software puts the entire language of mental health at the user's fingertips
and serves as a personal text data base. It provides instant access to thousands of words to describe almost any clinical situation; interview questions to aid in gathering data; opening and closing statements to structure reports; and tools to build custom formats for intakes, diagnostic work-ups, psychological evaluations, treatment plans, managed care and court reports, and more.
Users can browse through each screen or use the Find command to search the whole Thesaurus for the text that they need, then copy and paste it directly into a report. They can effortlessly add additional text, change the font or appearance of the text on display, reorganize the vast vocabulary to suit their writing style and report demands, or create new sections for materials they have written and want to reuse. Now on CD-ROM, Version 5.0 has been revised and expanded with numerous additional terms and updated listings of psychiatric medications. Hyperlinked definitions are included for more than 500 words.
