Excerpt from Commonwealth of Massachusetts;; Report of the Attorney-General for the Year Ending January 16, 1907
Michael dwyer, indicted in Essex County, September, 1905, for the murder of James Webb, at Lawrence, July 29, 1905. He was arraigned June 26, 1906, and pleaded guilty of manslaughter. This plea was accepted by the Common wealth, and the defendant was thereupon sentenced to not less than fifteen nor more than twenty years in State Prison. John P. Sweeney, Esq., and John P. S. Mahoney, Esq., were assigned by the court as counsel for the defendant. The case was in charge of District Attorney W. Scott Peters.
