Tony Puryear, originally a New Yorker, graduated with a bachelor's degree in art from Brown University. During that time, he also worked as a gourmet chef. At his early film career, he wrote commercials, but didn't reach mainstream success until the 1996 debut of Eraser starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. In recent work, he draws and co-writes the graphic novel Concrete Park with his wife Erika Alexander which is published by Dark Horse Comics. Concrete Park was selected as one of the Best American Comics, 2013. He and Erika were married in 1997. His 2008 national campaign poster for Hillary Clinton has been added to the collection of the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. The author lives in Los Angeles, CA.
