Synopses & Reviews
The choice and arrangement of furniture is what transforms a house into a home, and while much has been written about the classics of the past, it can be harder to identify the qualities that make a modern piece a timeless classic. Demystifying the often confusing world of contemporary furniture, this guide-by two major interior designers-looks at new manufacturing methods and the latest materials, to explain how pieces are made in the 21st-century. Taking a tour of a home room by room, you'll see how designers are using modern technologies to create stylish, yet extremely functional furniture, and develop the knowledge to make an informed choice and select today's pieces that are bound to become tomorrow's collectibles.
