Synopsis
Excerpt from Context Interchange: Representing and Reasoning About Data Semantics in Heterogeneous Systems
We have two (intertwined) objectives in this paper. First, we aim to provide a formal foundation for the Context Interchange strategy that will not only rectify the problems described earlier, but also provide for an integration of the underlying representational and reasoning formalisms. Second, the deconstruction and subsequent reconstruction1 of the Context Interchange approach described in 48; 44] provides us with the opportunity to address the concern for integration strategies that are scalable, extensible and accessible.
