“As a Career Services Coordinator for more than five years, an instructor in Professional and Career Development, and a business owner, I have never seen a more comprehensive approach to training the student in the proper methodology for achieving his or her academic, professional, and private goals.”
“It is an exceptional text, well thought-out, relevant to the lives of today’s students, especially those who are working, working mothers, or just coming back to the classroom to update skills or retrain for a new career.”
--Edward M. Tucker, Lincoln College of Technology
“… the text seems to reflect current trends in the field. I think acknowledging past struggles of students and empowering them to approach their education with intentionality, rather than just “hoping” that it will be different, is reflected in the field of higher education.”
--Jean Fennema, Pima Medical Institute
“This book focuses on students being accountable for their own success–which is sorely lacking in most student success texts. It speaks in a common language that students of all abilities can relate to, which is very important in our market...My students are always engaged during this class because of the way the topics are covered. Most texts also do not focus on the nitty gritty of getting and keeping a job–which is absolutely essential to my students.”
--Kate Sawyer, Lincoln Educational
