Synopsis
-- Heavily illustrated with a wide range of specially commissioned and archival photographs
-- An intimate and personal recollection of the great changes which have taken place in the College since the 1920s in the words of College Members
Following the publication last year of Clare Through the Twentieth Century: Portrait of a Cambridge College to critical acclaim, this new, highly illustrated anthology of Corpus Christi -- the smallest, yet most academically impressive college at Cambridge -- is at once thoughtful, intimate and beautiful.
Building upon an initial idea of recording the memories of all those who had come up the to the College before 1950, Corpus Christi: Within Living Memory, juxtaposes these earlier recollections against views of the College in the latter half of the 20th century -- highlighting both the changes that the past fifty years have brought and the unique qualities which have endured.
