This book assembles Ellwood's complete works, laid out in chronological order (1948-1977) with abundant period documentation and new photographs by the prestigious architectural photographer Grant Mudford. Each chapter is structured in the following manner: a brief introduction with graphic information explains each period's context. This is followed by an exhaustive description of all of the projects designed by Ellwood's office during that time, using archival photographs and architectural documentation. Some of the buildings and projects in each chapter are highlighted with new colour photographs and newly drawn plans. Other buildings by Ellwood that stand out are the South Bay Bank, the SDS Factory (now the Xerox factory), the SDS Administration Building the Irvine Airport Business Center, Joy Manufacturing, Security Pacific Place, the State Savings Bank (now Sotheby's), the Center College of Art and Design in Pasadena, the Gerwin-Ostrow Building, the Craig Ellwood Office Building, etc.
