About the Author
Madeleine Picciotto has taught writing and literature courses at a variety of institutions, including Princeton University; Spelman College, UCLA, and the University of California-San Diego. She received an MA in English from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Princeton. She has published journal articles and delivered national presentations on the teaching of writing, critical thinking, and research skills. She currently teaches in the Warren College Writing program at the University of California-San Diego.
