E. Melanie DuPuis is Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental Studies and Science at Pace University. She is the author of Nature's Perfect Food: How Milk Became America's Drink, the coauthor of Alternative Food Networks: Knowledge, Practice, and Politics, the editor of Smoke and Mirrors: The Politics and Culture of Air Pollution, and coeditor of Creating the Countryside: The Politics of Rural and Environmental Discourse.
