Review
"Culture is a strong point of this book. There is adequate cultural input for students and it is always relevant to the chapter topics. I have found the cultural information to be interesting, as have my students. I feel that both the Cultura en accion and especially the video are very effective in relating culture to students."
Review
"Unlike many texts that claim to have a communicative focus, De paseo delivers with page after page of creative, contextual pair and group activities."
Review
"Chapters are well organized. I like the integrated and coordinated approach offered by the etapas and the effort made towards recycling the material presented."
Review
"One aspect that attracted us to this text is the emphasis on exposing students to learning strategies, and specialized terminology such as literary and linguistic terms. I also enjoy the process-oriented approach to writing."
Review
"I think the reading selections are the most consistently excellent in De paseo. The pre-reading activities are quite good, and the reading selections are for the most part very engaging on both a cultural and critical reflection level. The post reading activities are also excellent. I do like the option of a literary versus a non-literary authentic text."
Review
"I found the Diario de actividades to be very complete and exhaustive. Every chapter has plenty of activities for students to practice all three communicative skills: writing, reading, and listening. It introduces new perspectives to the topics presented in the De paseo chapters, practicing with the corresponding grammatical concepts within a meaningful context."
