This book was a little challenging in it's slightly antiquated language, however it was well worth the read. Deafness is an amazing autobiography. David Wright, a published poet, recounts how at the age of 7 he became deaf. As Wright tells the story of his life, he weaves in a considerable amount of Deaf history and the evolution of Deaf education. Deafness is educational and inspiring. Highly recommend.
