About the Author
Philip Schmidt has written four books and contributed to dozens of others on home design, decorating, remodeling, and woodworking. Before turning to writing, Philip worked as a carpenter for more than six years. He lives in Golden, Colorado.
Jessie Walker's interior design photographs have appeared in Architectural Digest, Home & Garden, and Womans Day. She is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the winner of numerous awards and honors, including a special exhibition of her work at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
