Durch Zusammenschlusse, Ubernahmen und Neugrundungen sowie durch ein verstarktes Engagement von Tageszeitungs- bzw. Kauf-Wochenzeitungsverlagen im Segment der Gratiszeitungen entstanden Gratiszeitungsringe, die nicht mehr nur auf den lokalen Raum beschrankt agierten, sondern ins uberregionale Anzeigengeschaft bundeslandweit und mittlerweile auch bundeslandubergreifend einstiegen.
