Inhaltsangabe: Problemstellung: Das Thema Betriebssport und seine Auswirkungen auf Mensch und Betrieb ist gerade in einer Zeit fortschreitender Technisierung und Automatisierung ein aktuelles Thema. Auf Grund des zunehmenden PC-Einsatzes in allen betrieblichen Bereichen fuhrt die Mehrheit der Arbeitnehmer ihre Tatigkeit im Sitzen aus, wodurch der Korper einer sehr einseitigen Belastung unterliegt. Als Hauptursache krankheitsbedingter Fehltage in Unternehmen werden heute nicht mehr infektiose oder berufsbedingte Erkrankungen genannt, sondern die so genannten Zivilisationskrankheiten." Dazu gehoren u. a. Fettleibigkeit, ein erhohter Cholesterinspiegel, Wirbelsaulenerkrankungen und Schadigungen am Bewegungsapparat und dem Herz-Kreislaufsystem. Zuruckzufuhren sind diese Erkrankungen auf falsche oder einseitige Ernahrung, uberhohten Alkohol- und Tabakkonsum und vor allem fehlende Bewegung. In diesem Zusammenhang stellt die so genannte Fruhverrentung ein groes gesellschaftliches Problem dar, weil immer mehr Arbeitnehmer vorzeitig in den Ruhestand treten und somit enorme Kosten entstehen, die von Staat und Krankenkasse nicht mehr getragen werden konnen. Eine der haufigsten Todesursachen in Deutschland ist der Herzinfarkt, an dem jedes Jahr rund 180 000 Menschen sterben. Wenn man bedenkt, dass die Ursachen eines Herzinfarktes (Bluthochdruck, Stoffwechselstorungen, etc.) meist Folgen von Ubergewicht sind, wird deutlich wie unverzichtbar sinnvolle korperliche Aktivitat ist. Fur die Unternehmen stellt Betriebssport eine freiwillige betriebliche Sozialleistung dar, durch die der Arbeitnehmer neben seinem Arbeitsentgelt eine zusatzliche Zuwendung bekommt. Da diese Sozialleistungen einen nicht unwesentlichen Kostenfaktor fur den jeweiligen Betrieb bedeuten, wird nicht nur von einem entsprechenden Nutzen fur den Arbeitnehmer, sondern auch fur den Arbeitgeber ausgegangen.
