About the Author
Barbara Schroeder is an Emmy Award-winning journalist based in Los Angeles, and on-air correspondent for Extra! She was awarded the prestigious Gracie Award for her work on a mini-documentary about child abuse. Shroeder has a masters degree in communications, and has a teenage son and daughter who are gradually learning to like the “healthy stuff!”Carrie Wiatt is the author of Eating by Design and Portion Savvy, and the owner of Diet Designs, a Los Angeles-based nutritional counseling firm. She was the host of her own syndicated television show, and co-hosted Lifetimes Speaking of Womens Health. She has appeared as a dietary expert on a number of national television shows, including The View and Good Morning America. She lives in Los Angeles, has a masters degree in nutrition and food science, and is raising her 4-year-old daughter to eat right... from the start.
