With Cross Sums, called
kakro in Japan, players start with a crosswords-like grid of cells, some filled and some empty. Guided by numeric "clues" located throughout the grid, players must enter digits from 1 to 9 that total the value of the clue number without repeating a digit. This collection contains dozens of puzzles ranging from simple introductory layouts for novices to complex layouts for experts. An introductory section explains techniques for solving Cross Sums puzzles and offers strategies for becoming a pencil-pushing pro in no time.
