About the Author
Michael Tucker was born in England in 1934 and became interested in obedience dog training at the age of sixteen. This led him to become an instructor at the Royal Air Force Police Dog Training Centre during his National Service, and in 1956 he began teaching at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. He migrated with his family to Australia in 1967 to continue his work with the Royal Guide Dogs of Australia. Eight years later, he set up his own dog training school in Melbourne. His expertise is sought far and wide and, in recent years, he has given successful seminars at many dog-training establishments overseas, including those in the United States and West Indies. His earlier books are Dog Training Made Easy, Solving Your Dog Problems, Dog Training Step by Step (all published by Howell Book House) and The Eyes That Lead.
