Synopsis
Abraham Aamidor's Don't Go artfully draws us through the overlooked byways of memory. The reader is left suspended between the frozen image of an unpeopled painting and the all too-present threat of winos and punks, wondering which, if any, of the alleys lead to truth.
The stories are so vivid, I kept wondering when Aamidor was crossing the line between something he truly experienced and the realm of imagination. The stories read as if he was there. The descriptions of people, clothing and places are casual yet detailed and wonderfully telling.
