About the Author
Bram Stoker (1847-1912) was born in Dublin, Ireland. After graduating with a degree in mathematics from Dublin's Trinity College, he became a close friend of the actor Henry Irving. The actor's forceful personality mesmerized Stoker, and he is thought to have been the inspiration for his ever-popular vampire character Dracula. An instant success upon its publication in 1897, Dracula remains a best-seller. Tudor Humphries was born in 1953. He trained as a theater costume and set designer, but has spent the last 20 years working with children, illustrating books, and painting landscapes. He lives with his wife and three sons in Devon, England.
