Synopses & Reviews
This two-volume work forms a comprehensive treatise on the theory and applications of electron-diffraction techniques, and has been organized under the auspices of the Electron Diffraction Commission of the International Union of Crystallography. The intended audience includes graduate students and researchers involved in the use of electron diffraction methods. Volume 1 contains introductory chapters and the sections on electron diffraction which are less dependent on considerations of imaging in electron microscopes. Volume 2 deals with those aspects where there is a stronger correlation of the diffraction phenomena with the electron microscope imaging.
Review
"Packed full of a wide range of information. All in all this book is quite an achievement. It deserves a place on the electron diffractionist's bookshelf." --MSA Bulletin
"A landmark. . . . a valuable service to the electron diffraction community. . . . a balanced and detailed treatment of the subject, suitable both for students and more experienced researchers." --R. Vincent (Univ of Bristol, UK), Microscopy Research and Technique
