Synopsis
Excerpt from Elements of Natural Philosophy: For the Use of Schools and Academies
This book is an abridgment of the Natural Philos Ophy by the same authors, with such changes as were required to adapt it to younger pupils. As the larger book is in no sense a revision of the Natural Philos Ophy of the Cambridge Course of Physics, but an entirely new work, differing from its predecessor both in matter and in method of presentation, so this book is equally independent of the earlier Handbook of Natural Philosophy.
