Synopsis
Rural organizations make rural development happen. Since early 1990 the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has published training manuals covering a wide number of topics, ranging from self-help group formation, enterprise management, savings and intergroup association development, to agricultural cooperative development and finance, and guidelines for incorporating group-based approaches into large-scale rural investment projects. This multilanguage CD-ROM now makes the complete set of manuals accessible to virtually any PC user with a CD-ROM drive and a printer. These guidelines and manuals are for use by government policy-makers, non-governmental organizations, and fieldworkers interested in the promotion of sustainable rural producer groups and cooperatives in developing countries.
