Synopses & Reviews
The Gospel is not good news to people who do not hear it…and an unpreached gospel is no Gospel at all. In the New Testament we never read about God going forth on His own, but that His followers “went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them.” In short, God acted when they acted. Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke has led millions of people into a life-transforming encounter with God. In Evangelism by Fire he lays out the principles necessary for effective evangelism, showing how God operates through anyone who is willing to follow His plan. The Gospel is as vital today as it was when Jesus walked the shores of the Sea of Galilee, and nations urgently need the life-giving message of the cross right now. Filled with biblical principles, prophetic messages, and personal examples, Evangelism by Fire will inspire you to bring the focus of your life and ministry back to the Great Commission.

Synopsis
Reinhard Bonnke has written this book out of his desire to inspire others to “do the work of an evangelist” and to lay out the principles necessary for any Holy Spirit ministry. Readers will discover how God operates through anyone who is willing to follow His plan. This is not a book of means and methods, but of spiritual principles. The author recognizes the need for more imaginative approaches and explains that methods that have made little impact in the past are not likely to produce an impact now. The author’s primary concern in evangelism is effectiveness. Bonnke teaches that in these last days before the return of the Lord Jesus, our main task is the implementation of the Great Commission—the going, the making, and the discipling of the peoples in all nations.
About the Author
The son of a pastor, Reinhard pastored a church for two years and then started missionary work in Africa in the early 1980s. He began holding meetings in a tent that accommodated just 800 people, but as attendance steadily increased, larger and larger tents had to be purchased, until finally, in 1984, he commissioned the construction of the world’s largest mobile structure—a tent capable of seating 34,000 people! Soon, attendance at his meetings exceeded 150,000 people per service! Since then he has conducted city-wide meetings across the continent with as many as 1,600,000 people attending a single meeting using towering sound systems that can be heard for miles.
Bonnke founded the international ministry of Christ for All Nations (CfAN), which currently has offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong. Since the start of the new millennium, the ministry has recorded 55 million documented decisions for Jesus Christ. Bonnke is also recognized for hosting “Fire Conferences” in many different countries of the world, events that are aimed at equipping church leaders and workers for evangelism. Bonnke is married to Anni; father to Kai-Uwe, Gabrielle, and Susie; and grandfather to eight grandchildren.
