Synopsis
Excerpt from Every Man His Own Guide to the Falls of Niagara: Or the Whole Story in a Few Words
The author offers the following sheet, as a correct, com prehensive, and very much abridged work On the rambles around the Falls, a work that gives every necessary infor mation to the visitor, without reading a volume of two hundred pages to obtain it. The great objection to the books heretofore published as ades to the Falls is, first, the expense; second, superfluity of style; third, by directing visitors to a starting point, (for instance Point View) and notwithstanding all the books contain, it requires a living guide to inform them where Point View is situated. This work takes the visitor from the hotel, leads him to all the points of interest at the Falls on both sides Of the river, and returns with him to his hotel. The author, to insure the visitor against any mistake in the different points to which this work will lead him, has been at the trouble of placing guide boards at the difi'erent points, with numbers upon them, which this work will explain so that the visitor cannot possibly be led astray.
