About the Author
Deanne Moore lives with her four children in central Texas, where she's owned a quilt shop since 2002. She enjoys teaching quiltmaking in her shop and giving presentations and lectures to guilds, quilt shops, and shop owners. In 2005, she began designing quilt patterns and is delighted when her customers report seeing her patterns in quilt shops all over the country, and in magazines and online.
In her former life, Deanne did biochemical research, plus taught college chemistry and high-school math and science. In her free time, she enjoys the company and activities of her children, and the freedom of the open road. Since starting to design quilting patterns, Deanne has found that any place can be a happy place when she has a graph-paper notebook in hand. After all, ideas and inspiration occur at the most unexpected times and places.
