Review
"This addition to the series stands on its own, with enough background from book one included to introduce the characters. There is also plenty of foreshadowing of later developments along with hints about the sequel." School Library Journal
Review
"Although it has Biblical themes as its basis, the novel is not, strictly speaking, Christian...and parents who prefer that their children read only Christian books might want to steer clear." Children's Literature
