Synopsis
Marilyn Singer, novelist and poet, offers a collection of verse for young readers, observing the details of busy animal and insect life across the twenty-four hours in a day. She creates a world where a robin greets the dawn, a horse nibbles grass at midday, a frog tells the world he is king of the pond as evening falls, and then the fireflies at midnight seek each other with their small flashes of hope. All the poems are accompanied by Ken Robbins's amazing photographs.
