Synopsis
In Firestone Park: Policing South Central Los Angeles the author recounted stories of policing one of the most violent crime areas in the United States. Firestone Park Revisited continues the journey through a turbulent era in the streets and back alleys of south-central Los Angeles. The book describes what deputies had to work with, and the environment in which they worked. More importantly, it discusses the mindset, temperament, and motivation of those who kept those streets safe and protected the good people who lived there. The author also reports what those who worked those streets took away from that experience, and how those "take-aways" apply to policing today.
