Synopsis
A team of North American climbers replicates an historic trek around Mount Kangchenjunga, third highest mountain in the world, made in 1899 by British adventurer Douglas Freshfield and Italian mountain photographer Vittorio Sella. Illustrated with stunning color photography and complemented by some of Sella's exquisite black and white photographs, this rich narrative shows how much- and how little- has changed in the nations of Tibet, Nepal, and Sikkim in the intervening 100 years.
