About the Author
Donald Olson is a travel writer, novelist and playwright. His travel stories have appeared in the
New York Times, National Geographic, and other national publications. He has authored several travel guides for Frommer's, Michelin, Fodors and Langenscheidt. His newest guidebook,
Gardens of the Pacific Northwest, will be published in 2014 by Timber Press. Under the pen name Swan Adamson, he has published three novels that have also been translated into French. Donald lives, writes and gardens in Manhattan and Portland, OR.
