About the Author
A contributor to a variety of European magazines, guidebooks, and travel brochures, Peter Stone has lived in Madrid since 1998. Born in London, he started his working life in the Foreign Office in Downing Street before moving on to translating and journalism. He previously resided in Greece, North Africa, and in various other Spanish cities, including Málaga, Barcelona, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. A lifelong lover of Hispanic culture, history, and language, his publications include a book on Madrid province called Madrid Escapes. He has contributed to Time Out and Insight and is the author of Frommer's Barcelona and co-author of Pauline Frommer's Spain.
