Synopses & Reviews
When the Inuit are out on the frozen plains, hunting caribou for food and fuel, they still build igloos from blocks of snow and use the wind-hardened ridges of ice to tell direction. Dramatic images depict the traditional Inuit way of life, including such magical ceremonies as Kaylauzak (drum dancing) and Kayavak (throat singing), customs that are rapidly disappearing as the Western world encroaches.
