A priceless mystical treasure, a dark secret order, and a vengeful fallen angel--forces collide as the battle for Middleburg continues . . .
For gang members Raphael and Ignacio, plans for the homecoming dance are almost as harrowing as their recent victory against the demonic forces that threaten their town. Despite their tentative alliance, a fight breaks out between the preppie Toppers and the goth Flatliners when Topper girl Aimee shows up at the dance with Raphael, the rival gang's leader. In the midst of an all-out rumble, the homecoming queen discovers a supernatural power that causes a potentially deadly catastrophe. Meanwhile, a charismatic half-angel, half-human arrives in Middleburg with plans to steal Aimee from Raphael.
To add to the bizarre circumstances surrounding the town, real-estate moguls begin buying up most of the Flats and evicting the tenants. These mysterious men seek a priceless treasure prophesied in ancient Chinese writings and will stop at nothing to find it. But Raphael and his friends vow to get to it first and use it to reclaim their homes.
As Raphael and the Flatliners and Zhai and the Toppers hone their supernatural abilities and search for the treasure, Aimee begins kung fu training, intent on using her new skills to locate and rescue her mother. When she discovers that the elusive treasure may be the key, the race to find it intensifies.
But there are others who seek the treasure too, and they have the power to reduce all of Middleburg, and perhaps the world, to ashes. . . .

This book, full of action, fantasy and intrigue will keep you on the egde of your seat from beginning to end. What I loved most was that the author did an amazing job developing [the] characters. You gain a better understanding about the society and world through the eyes of the characters and as they hone their powers you start to wonder how they will use them. What I also enjoyed about the book was that at introducing the reader to a new world, through great deep description. You truly feel that you are there hearing the sounds and seeing the sights that are explored. On top of this the author does a great job at putting together a complex plot that drew the reader in and definitely kept their attention (at least it kept mine). This was a great book that all will enjoy

Ghost Crown is a paranormal, action packed adventure with mystery, revenge, and a ton of romance. J. Gabriel Gates and Charlene Keel have amazingly creative minds, and have created an incredible storyline that has absolutely everything you could ask for in a novel.
Ghost Crown left me in awe. I kept saying, Wow, wow, WOW! Just when you think Gates and Keel have peaked and the climax of the story is reached, they show you that you still have a long way to go before reaching the top of their mountain, as you will see with the cliffhanger ending that had me begging, "Please, NO! Don't stop the novel here..."
Romances, romance, and more romance. Gates and Keel have every kind of romance you can think of going on between this group of teenagers. The heart breaking kind, the hilarious kind, the ones who are trying to steal the others boyfriend or girlfriend, the jerk, and the one who's just trying to have a romance. I definitely got my romance fix.
Ghost Crown will give you every kind of read you're looking for in a YA novel--action, adventure, mystery, drama, paranormal, and romance. J. Gabriel Gates and Charlene Keel have left no stone unturned in The Tracks series. I recommend Ghost Crown as an all-in-one fantastic read!

"Though the novel focuses on the young students of Middleburg High School, it also features disturbingly crazy individuals that bring a smirk to one's face. While there is that dash of romance and concept of never-ending love, the characters (for the most part) are sensible and not overly dramatic. It's an adventure and a half, and definitely worth the read, though it may be a good idea to read the first novel before picking this one up. Oh, and
Ghost Crown is also great for book clubs. (There are questions at the end of the book to tide us over until the next novel is released)."

"Gates and Keel have done it again. Back in the world of Middleburg nothing is as it seems and nothing is left untouched from the events in
Dark Territory. Everything has changed,
Ghost Crown is darker and grittier. OOOh, what a read! There were so many moments that my mouth fell open in disbelief."

" Overall, I'm very impressed by
Ghost Crown. It is much better than
Dark Territory. Who wouldn't love more actions and more paranormal element? Talk about characters with awesome powers! Ghost Crown didn't disappoint me in those aspects. However, the book did leave me with some major questions at the end, which I'll have to find out by reading the next book. Looking forward to the third book!"

"I am once again, completely
AWED by Gates and Keel's work. It's not even just the way he writes, but it's the depth of the concept and each intricate detail of each character. There is no way that I could possibly tell you how
amazed I am by this book. And the thing is, I started reading this with high expectations, because the first novel in the series was
mind-blowing. And
Ghost Crown... it's a freaking apocalypse, I just can't even explain...
Reading Ghost Crown, I feel like I've died a thousand deaths. One for each character, each fight, each moment of realization. Half the time, I'm dying for more. More information, more action, more of the secrets of Middleburg. The tunnels, the powers, the possibilities. And when I read the words 'To learn the truth. Come.' I die again in anticipation. Not many books affect me the way this has. I freak out, and yet beg for more. I want to cry, but out of shock or happiness? I never know. I can only thank Gates and Keel for creating such a masterpiece."

"One of my favorite musicals has always been
West Side Story and in
Ghost Crown that is what you get along with a whole bunch of magic and the paranormal to keep it interesting. And it was interesting.
I found that all of the characters were very well developed even the secondary ones. [...] Since I didn't read the first book in this series, I will admit to being lost just who was who in the beginning but that didn't last long simply because they are so well written with their own personalities and goals. The plotline itself was very tight and I loved how all the threads were pulled together in the stunning conclusion though the tale is far from finished."

Ghost Crown has a little bit of everything: forbidden, secret love, a love triangle, secret alliances, secret society, a treasure hunt, action...I could go on and on about how awesomely happy I am with
Ghost Crown... I don't think I've really captured how great this book is... Put
The Tracks series at the top of your reading pile."
