About the Author
With more than 20 years of computer experience with both small and large organizations, author Ron Carswell is a practically focused, proficient writer and successful instructor. Mr. Carswell is professor emeritus at San Antonio College, where he has instructed students in Microsoft Server Administration and other courses for numerous years. In addition to this book, Professor Carswell has authored or co-authored numerous successful books on Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Windows servers, Parallel Operating Systems with Windows XP and Linux,Virtual PC and Virtual Server, C++ and other related computing topics. His last text was Guide to Microsoft Private Cloud. Professor Carswell holds a BBA from the University of Texas and an MBA from Baylor University. He has also earned A+, Network+, CTT+, MCSA, MCSE, MCDST and MCITP certifications. Heidi has over 7 years of computer experience with a large organization. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Texas State University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from St. Mary's University. Heidi is currently an Assistant Professor at San Antonio College, where she instructs in program logic and design courses, software development capstone courses and all levels of the C++ programming language. She co-developed Guide to Parallel Operating Systems with Ron Carswell and Terrill Freese.
