Synopsis
Defeated by Titan, Michael Tempe, better known as the Tempest, washes ashore on the beaches of a small Argentinean village in Out of the Darkness, book 2 of the Hand of the Morningstar series. Badly wounded, he is cared for by Elena, the daughter of the local missionary. While Titan and the other servants of the Morningstar bask in accolades at the United Nations and declare that the Morningstar will soon reveal himself, bringing unity and prosperity to the world, Michael discovers he has lost his powers. Elena's father tries to ease the rage inside him by introducing him to the One who can calm a storm. But just as Michael begins to experience some inner peace, a massive hurricane threatens to destroy the village, and Michael must decide if he will become the Tempest once again in order to save Elena, whom he has grown to love--and risk his own destruction.
