Synopsis
Deaf-mute pitcher Luther "Dummy" Taylor won 115 games for the New York Giants between 1900 and 1908. Brock's novel picks up Taylor's story in 1911 when Taylor is unsure what to do with his life after his pitching arm gives way to younger talent.
