BEBE: A smart, streetwise, forty-one year old bank teller who is finishing up her college degree and living out the last couple months of a man sabbatical.
SANDY: Bebe's best friend, late twenty-something, talented ad exec at a jazz radio station. She falls for T.J., a suave piano player, and learns lessons about infatuation and love.
T.J.: Also in his twenties, he dreams of becoming a superstar jazz pianist. He experiences the differences between love and lust as he grapples with his emerging maturity, his romance with Sandy, and his loving relationship with his dad.
SPEED: T.J.'s father, widowed, retired, and best friend to T.J., Speed reflects on love, loyalty, and his responsibilities to himself and his son.
