Synopsis
Excerpt from Health Effects of Smokeless Tobacco: Hearing Before the Subcommittee on Health and the Environment of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, House of Representatives, One Hundred Third Congress, Second Session, November 29, 1994
Personal use of tobacco products may be weakly protective, probably because of development of tolerance to the effects of nicotine among regular tobacco users. Tol erence may not be protective if dermal absorption substantially exceeds the user's Customary nicotine intake which may have occurred in this outbreak because of heavier than usual rains.
