Synopsis
Born in Poland in 1938, Helga Paris has been based in Berlin since 1966, chronicling East Germany for more than three decades. Her photographs portray the melancholy of East Berlin corner pubs, streetcars, garbage truck drivers, teenagers and textile mill workers. These images are collected in this retrospective volume, alongside photographs of Georgia, Siebenb rgen and Halle.
