Synopses & Reviews
This volume contains an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of research into computer graphics/visualisation and high performance computing, currently two of the foremost technologies in the computing domain. It is based on papers from an international workshop held in Swansea, UK, from 3 - 4 July 1995, which was the first workshop to bring together academic and industrial researchers and engineers involved in applying high performance computing technology to problems in computer graphics and visualisation. Among the topics covered in this volume are: the impact of the development of high performance computing on computer graphics and visualisation; the current use of high performance computing architecture and software tools in computer graphics and visualisation; the role of parallelism in computer graphics; and the identification of potential applications for high performance computing in computer graphics and visualisation.
