Synopses & Reviews
Bass player Jeremiah Springfield was born to rock. The son of a musician, Jeremiah was raised on a steady diet of his father’s classic seventies rock albums. When Jeremiah meets enigmatic singer/songwriter Matt Ripke and Liz Bennett, a cool and confident drummer, it’s a match made in Christian rock heaven. And Jeremiah certainly doesn’t mind that Amanda Wayne, Liz’s best friend and roommate, is along for the ride.
Their hard-hitting musical style leads to the name “Knuckle Sandwich,” and soon the band is tearing up the youth group scene and making quite the name for themselves. But when they move from the small towns to a national tour, they learn quickly that fame isn’t everything.
This is the break the band has been hoping for, but can they survive the temptation and distraction of life in the spotlight?

About the Author
A native of southern Illinois, Stephanie Grace Whitson has lived in Nebraska since 1975. She began what she calls "playing with imaginary friends" (writing fiction) when, as a result of teaching her four homeschooled children Nebraska history, she was personally encouraged and challenged by the lives of pioneer women in the West.
Since her first novel, Walks the Fire, was published in 1995, Stephanie's fiction titles have appeared on the ECPA bestseller list numerous times and been finalists for the Christy Award, the Inspirational Reader's Choice Award, and ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year. Her first nonfiction work, How to Help a Grieving Friend, a Candid Guide for Those Who Care, was released in 2005.
In addition to keeping up with her five grown children and two grandchildren, Stephanie enjoys motorcycle trips with her blended family (she was widowed in 2001 and remarried in 2003) and church friends as well as volunteering as a docent at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her passionate interests in pioneer women's history, antique quilts, and French, Italian, and Hawaiian language and culture provide endless storytelling possibilities.
