Synopses & Reviews
Alby and his pet squeeble, Squee, have loads of great toys, but the thing they like best is playing in the mud at the bottom of the garden - the one place they're not allowed to go! They would have got away with it, but Squee's muddy footprints gave them away. Can Alby save him from being sent to the squeeble-house?
Review
BooklistThis I Am Reading book gets its fun from detailing life on Albys alien planet, where things have the oddest names: dinner is Woodlydoodlynoodly Strings, a squirt gun is called a Groobleblaster, and a musical instrument is called a Nargian Nose Flute. Readers will have fun trying to sound out the words, but theyll also appreciate the story, which centers on Squees inability to wipe his paws, leading to his banishment from Albys bed. . . . Together, words and pictures make this a fun choice for readers just beginning to break away from easy readers.
